We're building the settlement engine that moves money for 4,000 merchants across Europe. You'll own the ledger — the system of record that every other service trusts.
What you'll do - Design and build payment services in Rust, from card authorisation through to settlement. - Own the correctness of the ledger. Money that goes missing is not an acceptable failure mode. - Work inside PCI-DSS scope, with the audit discipline that implies. - Run what you build: you'll be on-call for the payments domain.
What we're looking for - Substantial production Rust — at least 3 years, on a system where correctness mattered. - Real payments experience: card rails, ledgers, reconciliation, or scheme integration. - Comfort with Kubernetes, because that's where this all runs. - EU work authorisation (we cannot sponsor for this role).
Nice to have: fintech domain knowledge, PCI-DSS exposure, German.
